He did his BDS from Lahore, and then proceeded abroad for a two and a half year post graduate education program and was awarded the Master of Science in Orthodontics by Saint Louis University in Missouri which is the most prestigious orthodontics school in the United States.

Dr Awab also specializes in Root Canal Treatment and has done an extensive program in Microscopic and Surgical Root Canal Treatment from University of Pennsylvania. This program is for two years and includes physical inspection and approval of quality care at the Alvi Dental Hospital by the visiting faculty of University of Pennsylvania. He is the only dentist in Pakistan who is doing microscopic root canal treatment in Pakistan which ensures success, and pain free treatment.
